VESTRY HOUSE MUSEUM
located in Walthamstow Central, London. The museum has been housing numerous exhibits about local history. Due to the increasing number of visitors in recent years, this popular attraction requires better access and a new souvenir shop.
Inspired by John Pawson's design of a reception in the Hotel Puerta America, I have created the wood-framed installation. It does not only try to bring contrast against the old victorian brickworks without breaking them, but it has also delivered a more welcome sense of arrival in the listed building.
*This project has been included in the Lynne Holland Award, the top scholarship in Kingston School of Art.
